Chris and I had the pleasure of photographing Hannah and Joseph’s engagement session in May, and it was nothing short of spectacular. There’s something truly magical about springtime at Schoepfle Garden. The vibrant blooms, the fresh greenery, and the gentle warmth of the season created a perfect backdrop for capturing moments of love and laughter between Hannah and Joseph.
From the moment I met Hannah and Joseph, I knew this engagement session was going to be special. Their chemistry was undeniable, and their energy was infectious. They had a natural, easygoing vibe that made the entire experience feel more like a fun outing with friends than a photoshoot. As we walked through the garden, it was clear that their connection was as natural and beautiful as the surroundings.
Schoepfle Garden, nestled in Birmingham, Ohio, is a hidden gem known for its stunning landscapes and diverse plant collections. In spring, the garden truly comes alive. Flowers of every hue burst into bloom, painting the scenery with vibrant colors. The maintained paths wind through lush greenery, leading to picturesque spots perfect for photography. Which as you can probably tell by all our pictures, we had a lot of fun with Hannah and Joseph at this beautiful location!
On the day of the shoot, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! The sky was a brilliant blue, with white clouds drifting lazily across it. The sun cast a warm, golden light that highlighted the couple’s happiness and made every shot look like a scene from a fairytale. The gentle breeze carried the sweet scent of flowers, adding to the overall charm of the session.
From the first click of the camera, it was clear that Hannah and Joseph were naturals. Their laughter was genuine, their smiles were radiant, and their interactions were filled with love and joy. They moved effortlessly from one pose to the next, often needing little direction.
One of the most memorable moments was when Hannah and Joseph shared a quiet, intimate moment, with Joseph whispering something that made Hannah laugh heartily. It was a candid, beautiful moment that perfectly encapsulated their relationship—full of love, joy, and genuine connection.
Chris and I often strive to find that perfect shot, but with Hannah and Joseph engagement sesion, every moment seemed picture-perfect. We found ourselves capturing frame after frame, each one better than the last. The light, the colors, and the couple’s natural chemistry made it impossible to stop. Before we knew it, we had taken more photos than we originally needed.
While sorting through the images later was a bit of a challenge. Each photo told a different part of Hannah and Joseph’s story, and I found it difficult to narrow them down. Every smile, every glance, every laugh was worth preserving. In the end, I decided to go a little overboard and included more photos than usual. It was impossible to let any of these beautiful moments go unseen.
Hannah and Joseph engagement session at Schoepfle Garden was more than just a photoshoot; it was an experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. Their love and joy were contagious, and being around them was a reminder of why I love what I do. They weren’t just clients; they became friends whose story I had the honor of telling through my lens.
As I look back on the photos, I’m reminded of the beauty of spring, the magic of Schoepfle Garden, and the incredible connection between two people in love. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments that make life special.
